Whip-it Wednesday - Sweet and Simple Butterfly Treat Holder with the

Today I want to share some darling treat holders that I made along with my Stampfield Stars demonstrators. Scroll down for step by step instructions!

We made 60 of these last night at my Stampfield Stars Earth Day party – it was amazing how quickly they went together! This would be a great wedding favor idea! We made these treat holders for the fabulous folks at Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Support. These terrific people are who I go to when I have a question, you have an issue with your order, any number of things – they are wonderful!!

Whoa – now that is up close an personal! Here is Bella, the Whippet – and on Whip-It Wednesday I have to post a picture of my pooch – it just wouldn't be Whip-It Wednesday otherwise!

Now back to our project. Here are the simple instructions:

1. Cut a piece of card stock 6" x slightly less then 2" (I used Whisper White).

2. Place the long, 6" side so that it is across the top of your scoring tool. Score at 2 7/8" and 3 1/8".

3. Punch each end with the Scallop Tag Topper punch (make sure you slide the card stock all the way into the channel.)

4. If you want to stamp anything on the front, do it now while it is flat.

5. Fold on the score lines and insert a ribbon through the holes at the top. (I used the white Organza Ribbon).

6. Add an embellishment to the front (I used a butterfly from the Beautiful Wings Embosslit. You could also use a punched out image – butterfly, flower, whatever.)

7. Insert your Ghirardelli chocolate square.

Do you remember this card that I posted a while ago? I made a large number of these cards for a swap and the embosslit die cuts a large butterfly in addition to the small ones that I used on the cards. I had been saving those butterflies for this project.
