Happy Whip-It Wednesday everyone! Today is the day for a quick card that you can whip out in a hurry – but the recipient will never know that it was so fast to make. Whip-it Wednesday is of course named after my dog, who is a Whippet named Bella. Here is the obligatory photo of my pooch:
Kind of like playing "where's the Whippet" with all those dried leaves – perfect camouflage with her brindle coloring. She is intently watching a squirrel in this shot. Thanks for your patience, now, back to the card!
I used the Arrows embossing folder for the background – at first I thought it would be too contemporary for the Wetlands set, but it has an almost "Frank Lloyd Wright" look to it that seems to work.
I love, love, love to add dimension to cards! As you can see, I popped up the center piece on dimensionals. I was inspired by a card that Margo, one of my club members, made for the last club card swap using this same stamp set.
The Natural 5/8" Chevron ribbon (which is on sale for just $5.21 this week!) adds a nice touch to finish the card. You can click here to see what else is on sale this week!
Thanks for stopping by today!
