Can you believe how quickly summer is slipping by?! This past week I have been trying take some extra time with family to enjoy summer activities – like our local community Thursday night summer festival, summer movies, and family bike rides. Here is a fun summer project to make for a summer gathering or birthday party! This adorable monkey treat bag is fun to create using punches and dies – scroll down for a video tutorial!
Here is a peek of the back of the bag. This part of the project could not be any simpler – this is the Polka Dot Tag A Bag and the Tag A Bag Accesory kit. It comes as a bundle for just $9.95, all I had to do was add a few stamped images to the tag. I used the new Project Life Day To Day stamp set for the word "summer" and the "Celebrate" comes from the And Many More stamp set.
The kit even comes with the cute colored mini binder clips!
Now for the monkey portion of the bag! A special thank you to demonstrator Sara Mattson-Blume for the inspiration for this project! Click on Sara's name to see her version that she made for her niece's 2nd birthday celebration. See the video below for tips on how to draw the mouth perfectly.
Here is the video on how to make this cute little monkey!
Here is a close up of the pieces that were cut from the Flower Fair Framelits! The flower and center (of course), but also the "tuft of hair".
And a close up view of the tag – so it doesn't feel left out!
I filled by treat bag with banana flavored salt water taffy – it seemed appropriate with the monkey theme!
Thank you for stopping by today! The supplies are listed below – click on the picture to pick up some of these basic shape framelits to add to your Big Shot die collection!
