Happy Whip-It Wednesday! Silver is so elegant! I love to use it on Christmas cards! We made this fun flip card in my Big Shot class earlier this month. The pretty silver polka dots are from the Silver Fancy Foil Designer Vellum. Since you can see through vellum, we hid the adhesive behind the polka dots so that it would not show.
I used the silver foil sheets for the star in the center. You can't really tell in the photo, but there is a large rhinestone in the center!
The framelits not only come with the die that makes the flip card, but 8 additional dies including the words "snow", "joy", and "Brrr". I use wax paper between the die and the card stock so that it releases easily.
This is what the card looks like when it is opened and the snowflake is flipped. The word Christmas comes from the fabulous Endless Wishes stamp set – I just love all the options for Christmas wording in that set!
Of course the "dot" on the eye is a rhinestone – just in case that silver didn't add enough sparkle!
Let's check in with our Whip-it Wednesday official mascot, Bella the Whippet. She is not really a big fan of the cold (not much body fat and not a lot of fur), so she has to wear a coat in the winter. Here she is in her fancy coat – she won this at the Whippet fun match last year. When she is wearing this coat my husband likes to call her Zsa Zsa Ga-Bella. Just for the record, she doesn't really like coats either – but at least it keeps the pathetic shivering at bay! Hope your are warm and compfy this Wednesday!
