I was honored to be asked by Splitcoaststampers to do a tutorial for a Valentine Treat Holder – I had fun with the Pyramid Pals Thinlits Dies and Playful Pals stamp set!
I love the stamp set – I can get a perfect, cute face every time instead of hand drawing the image! Step by step video is at the bottom of the post!
The backside of the mouse shows the recipient how to open the box without destroying it! For closure details, see the video tutorial.
These boxes are smaller then they appear in the pictures. As you can see, one Lindt Truffle fills it up!
Ribbit! The matching set of dies has the frog leg and eye dies so no fussy cutting involved with this project!
This one opens just like the mouse.
And here is the box when opened.
I love this little lion! His mane is made with one of the dies in the set. I cut 4 of the fringe dies and curled them with the bone folder. For the "bangs" I cut down a piece to just 6 "fringes".
Before I assembled the lion I punched an opening in the side with the 1" Circle Punch.
I printed my own greeting on my computer!
This little Elephant was super quick and easy – again the matching dies cut out the ears and trunk!
I cut the back panel off completely for easy treat access. The tabs help keep the treat inside the box.
All these fun stamp images come in the set – ust think of the fun animals you could create!
Dies to match – the stamps are see through Photopolymer so you can cut the pieces and then stamp on them – just flip for left and right.
