Birthday cards are the best! Fun to make AND fun to receive! Scroll down to see the supplies and the fun inside of the card!
I'm super excited to share this trio of fun birthday balloon cards with you! I designed these cards for my Stamp-A-Stack event that I held in my studio. It was a BIG hit!
The 3" x 3" square of patterned paper used was from the generous It's My Party Designer Series Paper Stack….
This stack is loaded! It comes with 48 sheets of double sided paper – 4 of each pattern and it Stampin' Up!'s best value on paper – a lot of bang for your buck!
TIP: And, if you go to my online Stampin' Up! store, you can see a close up of each and EVERY pattern! Here is how…
Then click again on the enlarged thumbnail to see it "big"!
The balloons were punched out FIRST and then stamped. The stamp set is see-through photopolymer so lining it up was easy. The VersaMark watermark pad meant the stampers would not have to change inks for each color.
Love this bundle used for the balloons!
The inside of the card I used the FREE Sale-a-bration set Party Pants – which coordinates perfectly with the Balloon Bouquet punch and the Balloon Celebration stamp set.
To mount the balloons I snipped a piece of Baker's Twine and placed a dimensional on top of it close to the base of the balloon. This keeps the string at the bottom of the balloon so that it doesn't wing out of the side. The inside balloon was the same but I used SNAIL adhesive.
The lower portion of the card has an embossed strip with the Confetti Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.
This folder has an oval center that we did not use – we just placed a 1" x 4" strip at the top and the bottom of the folder and sent it through the Big Shot.

Sue … You are so creative! I love your projects, and am never disappointed after a visit to your blog!
These cards are AWESOME! I would love to know the dimensions of your cards. (The size of the card stock you started with and where you scored to make them so cool!)
Thanks in advance for your help!
Thank you Judy! I’m so glad you liked the card! The black card base is 4 1/4″ x 9 3/4″, scored at 5 1/2″. The card stock behind the patterned paper is 3 1/8″ x 3 1/8″. I also e-mailed you the project sheet with all the dimensions, supplies, and instructions to make the cards. Happy Stamping!
Susan
Thanks for sharing the cards, and then the dimensions in your comment above!! So cute! Looks like an easel card in one of your photos, but is that an illusion?
No easel card here – just the angle if the camera I think. But great idea – it would be fun to do an easel version!
Susan,
I love how bright and cheerful these cards are. I am very new to card making. Would you mind sharing the dimensions for the white card and embossed panel on the inside of the card, please? Thanks!
