Welcome hoppers – and Happy Whip-it Wednesday to my regular Blog visitors!
We are having some fun today with the Big Shot Die-Cut Machine! I'm super excited to share this fun rose vine card made with the Swirly Scribbles / Swirly Bird Bundle!
Endless crafting possibilities with this terrific bundle! Scroll down for tips on how to work with the intricate dies in this set.
Flirty Flamingo Ruched Ribbon and card stock make this card pretty and feminine!
The tiny flowers came from the Tree Builder punch with the littlest pearls from the Basic Pearls Jewels for the center.
To cut my "vine" I placed the die on a scrap of Old Olive, sandwiched it between two cutting pads on the magnetic platform and placed it in my Big Shot.
After cutting I placed the entire thing on the foam pad that comes with the Big Shot Die Brush. (To see what happens to this foam pad when two 10 week old Whippet puppies get a hold of it, scroll down – lol!!)
Roll the bristles repeated over the die to loosen the bits of paper.
To further eject the image I like to lift one corner of the die while I roll the brush on the back.
Keep rolling and then gently pull it out. If it sticks to the die try cutting with a piece of wax paper between the die and the card stock.
The Big Shot Die-Cut machine doesn't just cut out shapes – it also embosses. The Elegant Dots embossing folder makes a beautiful background.
The inside of my card is a simple bird image from the stamp set and a greeting from the Scenic Sayings set.
Thanks for joining me today to whip out this quick card! Now for the latest from our Whip-It Wednesday mascots…
This morning my 10 week old Whippet pups had a lot of fun with the Big Shot Die Brush – particular the foam pad that it comes with which they tore into bits! The brush handle was apparently a great teether too based on the number of teeth marks it now has….
Destroying things is tiring work though so a nap was next on the agenda for these two miscreants!
Time to hop on over to B.J. Peters to see what she has been creating with her Big Shot!
Or you can hop back to see the amazing creation that Diane Evans has made!

Stinkin’ cute project, Susan. Those puppies are nothing but fun (and a bit of trouble)!
A stunning use of colors!!! Love the puppies!!!
Oh Susan, chuckle, chuckle… I can’t help but laugh over the sponge pad.. but listen- if you have one of those “edible arrangement” places nearby (or a florist/market that ships chocolate covered strawberries) they have the same foam pad- a little bigger. Love the card (and the puppies too!)
Oh so cute.
