A Very Special Wedding Card and an Error

Amelia's Wedding Card - 5

I'm excited today to share with you the wedding card that I made for my niece and Goddaughter's wedding this past weekend! I wanted to create a very special card for this very special couple.  My niece is a music therapist and her new husband Jacob is a musician so the new Sheet Music background stamp was perfect stamp set! I stamped the image with VersaMark ink and embossed it with silver embossing powder.  Then I used the Rose Garden Thinlit dies to cut the rose from silver foil paper – to make it easy to adhere to the card I put a Multipurpose Adhesive sheet on the back of my silver paper before I cut out the flower. That made it super easy to adhere that delicate image to the card.

Amelia, the beautiful bride!

The inside of the card had to be fancy too!  I love the new Metallic-Edge ribbons – I used the white with the silver edging for both the front and the inside of this card.

I used the Thick Whisper White card stock for the base which gave a nice weight to the finished card.  I also made the card oversized (4 3/4" x 6 1/4") so I used the Envelope Punch Board to make the envelope from the Year of Cheer Specialty Paper that will be in the upcoming Holiday Catalog. It had the sparkle and glitz that this card deserved!

Did you see my mistake yet?  Yep – I stamped the music upside down!!!  What can I say – I guess it is clear that I am a crafter NOT a musician!  I had assembled the card with Fast Fuse adhesive (a VERY strong adhesive) so there was no fixing my error without ruining the card and no time to start over. Oh well, I guess the error is proof that the card is home made!  Thank you for stopping by today!

  1. The wedding card and envelope you created for your niece/Goddaughter is gorgeous! I never saw the error until you pointed it out.

  2. Thank you so much Kathy! Now that I look at the stamp in the catalog I’m not sure if it is upside down or not!! Wish I could read music – I will have to ask my niece when she returns from her honeymoon!
