I am excited to share this fun fold with you today and have a video tutorial on how to make this card below! This Bendy Card folds flat for mailing and then can be assembled by the recipient to stand up for display!
I used this gorgeous BRAND NEW bundle to decorate my card! This bundle is in the NEW Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog that comes out in September but it is now available (as of August 1, 2017) to purchase as a special Early Release!
Here is a topside view of the card that shows how it got it's name – from the "bendy" panels that support it! You can also get a better view of the silver foil paper that the greeting is layered on in this view.
The card is a simple construction from 3 main pieces, I used Thick Whisper White card stock. The card base is 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" and the two arms are 5 1/2" x 2", and 5 1/2" x 1 1/2". Each arm has been scored a 1/2" to attach to the back of the card base. At the other end of the arm you cut a notch that is 3/8" deep. See the video for further explanation.
Each notch slides into a slit – one on the card base for the wider arm and one on the wider arm for the narrow arm to fit into.

I’m very hard of hearing and rely on closed caption to help me understand. Even with this I couldn’t understand how to measure for the bendy card arms and slits. I’ll watch serval more times and if I still don’t understand, I’ll call on you for help. I really wanted to say Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful bendy Christmas with us! I love it. I didn’t catch how the card base lays. Is the 5 1/2″ the width or length? You know, just one of those days.
Thank you so much for your question Gloria! The card base is 5 1/2″ long by 4 1/4″ wide. You lay it in the trimmer with the length at the top of the trimmer, and the edge lined up at the 4″ mark. To get the slit in the right spot you need to use the 5 1/2″ x 2″ wider side “arm” with the cut notch as a template. So cut the notches in the two side arms first.
