A simple, lovely floral card for you today that I made a few weeks ago for my mom. Mom hurt her back and I designed this card to go with the care package I sent to her to cheer her up.
The Petal Garden paper is so pretty, there really wasn't much else for me to do! I did emboss the background piece of Pool Party card stock with the Garden Trellis embossing folder. The same garden trellis pattern is on several of the patterns in this pack of paper so it was perfect match.
I also sent a magazine and some pretty postage stamps with the card. Mom has always been fascinated by the royal family. She was a teenager in the 1950's and remembers Queen Elizabeth's coronation and when she was a little girl she and her sister had Princess Elizabeth and Princess Margaret paper dolls. I was hoping the magazine would distract her from her back pain! She also loves pretty postage stamps and can't always get the fancy designs in her rural area.

The Pool Party Shimmer Ribbon is absolutely gorgeous! I tied a knot in the center and taped the ends of the ribbon behind the Sweet Sugarplum card stock. This knotted ribbon trick is easier then tying a bow, looks elegant, and adds less bulk then a traditional bow. The greeting is from the Blooms & Wishes stamp set – I thought the scripted font matched well with the elegance of the card.
