Today we are exploring holiday gift ideas, and what better gift for your hostess then a bottle of wine?
But why not dress up that bottle of wine with an adorable hand crafted tag? On the front "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas"…
And on the back "But if the white runs out I'll drink red." What a fun gift and conversation piece!
The gorgeous snowflake spray is from the November limited edition, exclusive set of dies called "Snowfall" which are ONLY available while supplies last. These may not be around by the end of the month so be sure to order yours today before they are gone, gone, gone! The snowman is made using Layering Circle Framelit Dies, 1/2" circle punch eyes and hand cutting a nose. The sentiment "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas" and the….
…images on the other side of the tag are all from the Half Full stamp set. I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with the Stampin' Blends alcohol markers. I used the Cherry Cobbler, Call Me Clover, and Pool Party Combo Marker packs.
Here is a side view of how the tag hangs on the bottle. Scroll down for details on the snowman and how to assemble your tag.

Thick Whisper White 3 1/8" x 8 1/2", score at 3 1/8" – this is the front piece (snowman) and the top that slides on the bottle
Thick Whisper White 3 1/8" x 5 7/8", score at 1/2" – this is the back piece for the wine glass to be layered on to
Thick Whisper White 2" x 5" to cut the snowflake swirl die from
Thick Whisper White 2 3/4" x 5" the layer to stamp and color the wine glass
Real Red 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" layer for the stamped wine glass piece
Whisper White 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" for snowman's face
Basic Black 3" x 3" for snowman's hat
Pumpkin Pie 1" x 2 1/4" for snowman's nose
Whisper White 1 3/4" x 2 1/4" to stamp the "I'm dreaming" sentiment and cut out in an oval
Real Red 2" x 2 1/2" for the scalloped oval layer behind the sentiment
The snowflake spray die is so awesome! It is a bit too long for this project so I cut off the small snowflake on the end…
…trimmed off the excess…
and added it as a layer to one of the other snowflakes using a glue dot.
To cut the hole for the wine tag I used the second up from the smallest smooth sided Layering Circle die.
Then I used a piece of Tear & Tape on the section that forms the backside of the tag…
And attached it to the portion I had cut the hole in.
For the snowman I used the fourth circle up from the smallest for the head and the sixth circle up from the smallest for the hat. The snowman was inspired by a card made by Frenchie Stamps. Thanks Frenchie!
I used Paper Snips to hand cut a nose, wiggling the paper as I cut to make the wavy sides.
I used the Dark Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blend marker to draw the lines on the nose and then I used a sponge dauber to sponge the sides with Pumpkin Pie ink. This gives the nose some shading that adds dimension. Thank you for stopping by today! It's time to get more gift giving inspiration by following the blog hop!
