Blog Hop Title

Welcome to our blog hop! I'm excited to share my cute Easter project with you that uses the Sale-a-bration Coordination stamp set "More Than Words". This is a limited edition stamp set and is ONLY available this month or while supplies last!

Easter Chick Sweet Cup with More Than Words - 4

Yay – so cute!  This Chubby Chick decorates a Sweet Cup full of sweets! Now you might be wondering – where is the stamp set?!  Well…

…the stamp set is inside the lid with a fun Easter message!

More Than Words

The "More Than Words" stamp set is SO versatile!!  The two step "Wishes" stamp can be paired with Easter, New Year's, Christmas, or Birthday and the other greetings coordinate with other Sale-a-bration stamp sets!

I really love the "two tone" option on the Wishes image.  Here is how I lined up the two images perfectly:

More Than Words Two Step - 1

First I stamped the Wishes "lower half" stamp in the Mango Melody ink – which is the darker of the two inks I am using.More Than Words Two Step - 1

Then I inked up the image that says "Wishes" in Daffodil Delight ink.  Because the Mango ink is darker then the Daffodil ink that is on my stamp, I am able to see through the stamp and can perfectly line up with the first stamped image.

Here is a close up showing how well they match up.

And here is what the finished image looks like.  With the two separate stamps you can create a really fun ombre look with very little effort – love it!

The chick on the lid of my Sweet Cup is super easy!

I used the largest smooth sided Layering Circle framelit die for the body, the "wings" are made with one of the narrow layering hearts in the Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies, and the feet and hair tuft are made with the Bitty Blooms Punch Pack.

For the beak I scored a small rectangle of Pumpkin Pie cardstock and folded it in half.  Then I just used scissors to trim off each side to form the beak shape.  The eyes are the Basic Pearls colored black with the Dark Basic Black Stampin' Blend marker.

I wrapped the sweet cup in Designer Series Paper – this one is the 6" x 6" Gingham Gala paper and the other version uses the Polka Dot Pineapple Punch pattern from the In Color 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper 2018-2020 in the main catalog. To use the 6" by 6" paper I cut it in half so that I had two pieces that were 3" x 6".  Then I adhered them together with Tear & Tape.

  1. Super cute project! Love the way you put the greeting inside and the two toned wishes! Love those Cadbury eggs and have been able to avoid them so far, but after this, I think I see some in my future. LOL!!! TFS! Oh, and for the template PDF too! May have to make these for my five grandkids!
