Yay! Happy spring! I'm so excited to share these cute "spring-y" projects!
There is something about these colors – Coastal Cabana combined with Daffodil Delight- that just makes me happy! First I made the cute little box for my Big Shot class at the beginning of this month, and I liked it so much that I designed a matching card for last weeks Technique Class! I was SO worried that these cute Bitty Blooms flower punches and matching Bloom By Bloom stamp set would sell out before I could post this (they have already sold out our European market) – but I just checked and, at the moment, they are still available!! Yay! If you don't have them yet act fast!!
Here is a peek at the inside of this cute little box. Click here for a project sheet and pattern for this cute little box/bag or click here to watch the Facebook Live video on how to make it. This box template was created by fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Amanda Charlesworth from the UK – love it!! She calls it a Mini Bowling Bag Treat Box.
The pretty, lacy, label die that forms the front and back of the box AND the white stitched label are both from the Stitched Labels Framelits Dies. The "Happy Spring" sentiment is from the Fable Friends stamp set. To make the flowers "pop" I stamped the flower image in a darker ink then the cardstock. So the yellow flowers are Daffodil Delight cardstock with Mango Melody ink and the blue flowers are on Pool Party cardstock and the flowers are stamped in Coastal Cabana ink. The box is made with the Coastal Cabana cardstock.
For the card I used the "Best Wishes" greeting from the Stitched All Around stamp set – this stamp set is available as a bundle with the Stitched Labels Framelits dies for a discounted price only through the end of May! The Quilt Top embossing folder that I used on this card is retiring and only available while supplies last – as are the cute little flower punches and matching stamp set Bloom By Bloom Bundle.
One of my favorite things is to match the candy to the box! I take my finished project to the store and scan the aisles for something that matches! The Daisy springtime Dove Chocolates were with the spring/Easter candy and the Dove Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramels were in the regular candy aisle and a perfect match for Bermuda Bay / Coastal Cabana!
It's amazing to me that I took this photo just 9 days ago on April 11th when we had our last snow storm with 9" of snow!!
And yet today, April 20th, the snow is (almost) all gone and it is a beautiful spring day outside! And I had the best reading material as I sat outside – the new Stampin' Up! catalog that will be available on June 4th! Let me know if you would like me to send you one!!
Time to hop on over to visit BJ Peters and check out her spring project!
