Creative Inking Blog Hop: Christmas Cards!

Welcome to this month’s hop! Have you noticed that everyone seems to be starting Christmas early this year?! Lots of lights and Christmas trees already up in my neighborhood! So a Christmas Card themed hop seems appropriate. I have a fun card with a “non-traditional” color to share with you today that I like to call “I’m Dreaming of a Pink Christmas”!   I have a video and a free PDF tutorial for you so you can recreate this happy card!

Normally I would not have thought to use Magenta Madness on a Christmas card, but when I saw the sample on page 74 of the August – December Mini Catalog it really caught my eye and I had to give it a try! These gorgeous bells are from the Sounds of the Seasons Dies and they are stunning! The die set also has the little pine boughs in two sizes which I die cut in both Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz. The greeting is from the coordinating stamp set, Cherish The Season. Of course, don’t forget that you can get both the Sounds of the Season Dies and the Cherish The Season stamp set as a bundle for 10% off! 

The inside sentiment and pine bough stamp are also from the Cherish The Season stamp set. Of course, I had to add the little bell too! It’s just so cute!

I embossed the panel behind the card with the Winter Snow embossing folder – I love the detail in that embossing folder! The bells were die cut from the Brushed Metallic Cardstock – I used the bronze color (the one that is slightly lighter in color then the gold). The Magenta Madness ribbon added the finishing touch!
