The February 2022 Suestampfield Crafternoon Creative Escape features this fun, interactive Box Top Pop Up card!
Are you looking for a good fun fold to try? Welcome to the Suestampfield February Crafternoon! Each month I design a fun fold and then make many different designs using that fold. I have a video tutorial showing the basics of the Box Top Pop Up fun fold, and an option to purchase a detailed written tutorial bundle for ALL of these projects. This first version looks like a present, and when you open it…
Surprise! A fun pop up full of birthday fun! I call this the Box Top Pop Up Fun Fold card. Boy, did I have fun playing with this fold. Customers who placed a qualifying order with me last month received a make-n-take packet in the mail from me to make this card so they can learn the fold. Then they were invited to watch the video below where I make the project, show them how to assemble it, and I share 4 other versions using the same fun fold. Following the class they receive a PDF tutorial with dimensions, step by step instructions, photos, and the supply list for the projects.
This version is almost the same, but with a “tag” on the “present”. The inside has an extra addition too…
This adorable chick from the Hey Birthday Chick stamp set and the Birthday Chick Dies! The streamers and “Happy Birthday” die are also from the Birthday Chick dies. What a fun surprise for someone when they open this card! Let’s look at some of the other versions!
Pop up cards aren’t just for birthdays…
This beautiful card features the Daffodil Daydream Designer Series Paper. I made two versions where the inside of the cards are different.
So beautiful on the inside. This version shows how to use Designer Series Paper to make the inside pop up portion of the card. All the instructions are in the tutorial bundle.
This is the alternate version where I added a beautiful daffodil on vellum! The Daffodil Daydream bundle comes with the Daffodil Dies that I used here. They are the perfect accompaniment to the Daffodil Afternoon Designer Paper which is a FREE Sale-a-bration choice this month at the $50 level.
Such a fun fold! Let’s look at more samples!
This next card shows how to use 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper like the Simply Marbleous. It features the adorable Easter Friends stamp set. And on the inside…
…an adorable chick pops up! This stamp set is perfect for Easter, spring, baby, or birthday, so cute! This card shows off another one of the amazing Sale-a-bration items that you can get for FREE right now with a qualifying order: the Simply Marbleous Designer Series Paper!
I literally turned the card design on it’s head to make this “hat” card! Isn’t this design perfect for a hat?! My viewers had fun thinking up all the different kinds of hats that they could use this fold. Some suggestions were a groom’s top hat, a snowman’s hat, Uncle Sam’s hat for 4th of July, and more! All are listed in the tutorial bundle.
Some “punch art” fun on the inside! I used one die set to create the pot of gold and it’s contents – can you guess which one?! I also used the wonderful FREE Sale-a-bration choice, the Sunshine & Rainbows Designer Series Paper, such happy paper!
This was such a fun fold that I could not stop creating! Here are two more!
Looking at this fun fold card it reminded me of a building. So, of course, I just had to make a tool shed card! My viewers tell me that they struggle with masculine card ideas. The Home & Garden Bundle is perfect for masculine cards – and boy, is it fun to create with!
I made a “bench” to attach to the pop up piece. The bundle is amazing. I love how there are separate dies to cut the blades for the shovel, the trowel, and the pruners! That way you can make the blades metal and the handles any color that you want.
The tool shed card was so much fun to make, that I decided to make another shed card. This time I made it a potting shed – perfect for any gardener! I once again used the Home & Garden Bundle, but this time I paired it with the Plentiful Plants bundle and the Bloom Where You Are Planted Designer Series Paper. The “dirt” pieces are the Pebbles Enamel Shapes from the Mini Catalog – so fun!
Instead of a bench on the inside of this shed card I attached a pot to the pop up. And stuck a plant and a trowel in it!
This Home & Garden Bundle is a great addition to your collection and gives you a lot of really creative options! *Free Sale-a-bration items can be earned with purchases over $50, before tax and shipping. To see the full selection of Sale-a-bration choices, click HERE.
