The Floating Tier Pop-Up Card is the newest Crafternoon design and a beautiful way to add depth and movement to your handmade cards. As the card opens, multiple tiers extend from the center, creating a layered, floating effect that immediately draws the eye. Each tier gives you space to show off your favorite patterned papers, creating a “wow” every time the card is opened. It’s one of those designs that looks intricate, but once you understand how it comes together, you’ll see how simple it really is to create. Best of all, it folds flat for mailing and fits in a standard envelope.

Lily of the Valley Floating Tier Pop-Up Fun Fold Card
This Lily of the Valley card highlights how striking this fold can be when you let the patterned paper take center stage. The Valley in Bloom Suite (coming May 5th) adds a soft, elegant feel, while the Phrases & Frames bundle provides the perfect finishing touch. In the tutorial, I’ll guide you through how to cut and position each panel, along with a diagram that shows exactly where each piece comes from on the patterned paper.
Just as beautiful in the closed view—the delicate lily of the valley and soft background make this one extra special.
I added a small strip of patterned paper to the back panel—it’s a simple touch, but it really helps everything feel complete.
I used Stampin’ Blends to softly color the Lily of the Valley—it’s a simple technique that really brings it to life. I walk you through it step by step in the PDF tutorial.
Phrases & Frames Floating Tier Pop-Up Fun Fold Card
Yay! This alternate version features my Million Sales Achiever Phrases & Frames bundle, paired with the new Hydrangea Hue In Color and the soft florals from the Bloom Boutique Designer Series Paper. The fresh blue tones give this card a completely different look while still highlighting the floating tiers beautifully. The adorable butterfly is punched from the All Aflutter punch and the Pearlized In Color Specialty Paper! So cute!
I love the structure of the Floating Tier Pop-Up—it’s such a fun way to showcase different papers and details throughout the card.
After the Crafternoon video, I created one more version of this card using the Eyelet Blooms Die (April’s Product of the Month). I simply swapped the embossed panel for this die-cut design and added a layer of Hydrangea Hue cardstock underneath for a soft pop of color. This bonus design is included in the PDF tutorial, along with step-by-step directions and measurements for all of the card versions.

This adorable Winnie the Pooh–themed version was inspired by one of the classic stories where Pooh and his friends try to figure out what Tiggers like to eat—only to discover (much to Pooh’s relief!) that it’s not honey. This suite will be available May 5th as an online exclusive (U.S. only).
Pooh reaching for the honey was die-cut right from the Designer Series Paper using the coordinating label dies—so easy and so cute.
Tigger and the little “hunny” pot were also die-cut right from the paper with the coordinating dies, making it simple to bring the whole story to life inside the card.
On the back, Piglet blowing a dandelion adds the sweetest finishing touch and a perfect spot to write your message.
Waterside Retreat Floating Tier Pop-Up Fun Fold Card
This card makes me think of relaxing on the dock, watching the seagulls soar by. It was created with the versatile Waterside Retreat Suite (coming May 5th) and is perfect for masculine cards.
Here’s a another look at the front—I love how the Adirondack chair really takes center stage.

Lovely & Beautiful Floating Tier Pop-Up Fun Fold Card
This month’s featured Floating Tier Pop-Up card highlights the beautiful patterns from the Lovely & Beautiful Specialty Designer Series Paper, paired with the elegant detail of the Forever Florals bundle and the texture from the Paradise Garden embossing folder. The layered papers really stand out on each tier, and the touch of Textured Metallic Specialty Paper adds a soft shimmer that makes the design feel extra special when the card is opened.

The gold label ties in beautifully with the gold foil highlights in the patterned paper.
