If you had told me back in December that one of my favorite Sale-a-bration items would be the Happy Hello Simply Sent card kit, I would not have believed you! But I love the die cut shape, the simplicity, and the colors! For this card, I used the oval stamp from the "Oh, Hello" set from the spring catalog to make the "egg". I cut it out with the oval framelits (the two items are bundled together for a discount – but only until the end of May), I used the framelit that is slightly smaller then the stamped image and cut with the scissors to crack it open. The peeps were made with the Bird Builder punch from Daffodil Delight card stock. Demonstrator Ann Fitzgerald has a great tutorial on her blog. The bird eye is the smallest pearl, colored black with a permanent marker.
And yes, you can make the card into a cute box! I borrowed the Peeps from my card, and put a real Peeps (nestled in edible Easter grass I found at Target) in the box. For a great video on how to make the box, check out Linda Gutierrez'a YouTube video. Of course, after making the box, I had the envelopes left over, so we made this treat holder out of them:
Inside is a Easter Ghirardelli treat. The bunny was made using the Blossom Petal Builder Bunch, the small oval punch, and the 3/4" circle punch. Here is the treat holder open:

You may remember this card, from a previous post (click here for specific details) It is still one of my favorites! I recently hosted a tea party and I made these as the place cards for each guest, I just added their name on the card!
