Gorgeous Christmas Star Treat Box

The holidays are quickly approaching and I'm starting to think of all of the gifts I need to prepare for neighbors, teachers, and friends. Do you like to make your own gifts and gift holders too? I think it always means a little more when you took the time to make it especially for them. This beautiful Christmas Star stamp makes a gorgeous presentation when combined with the "ready to go" Decorative Window Boxes from the Holiday Catalog.

I inked up the Christmas Star stamp with the Cherry Cobbler Ink Pad (I strongly recommend the new style, firm foam pads for this large, solid, image). Then I stamped it on Very Vanilla card stock and cut it out. I used the Stampin' Trimmer to score it on all the lines made the stamp. I creased on the lines and then folded valley folds between the star points, and mountain folds on the star points. By doing this simple scoring it really ends up with a great "3D" look! The boxes come with the white decorative circle already printed – so you don't even have to stamp that part! I attached the 3-D star to the box with Glue Dots. Here is another version:

This project shows off the Wonderful Blessing single stamp (which is on sale through December 2nd with this special item #134779). It is embossed in Cherry Cobbler Embossing Powder on Crumb Cake and cut out with the Circles Collection Framelits. The Tea Lace Paper Doilies add a touch of elegance and the Basic Rhinestones finish it off!
