Isn't this a cool card?! It has it's own little stand! But look, it also folds flat to go in the envelope:
We are having fun making this card at several of my February events! This single wood stamp is called "Blessed Easter" from the Occasions catalog. I cut the greeting and the tulips apart – I mounted the greeting on one side of the wood block, and the tulips on the other. This card layout idea from my friend and fellow demonstrator Kay Kalthoff. You can see Kay's video on how to make a 3D fence card here. I changed up the stamp set to give it a "springtime" feeling!
Here is a close up of the little "stand" that supports the card and helps it to stand up. I got the watercolor look by outlining the tulip with the Real Red marker and then using the Blender Pen to fill in. I did use watercolor paper which has a wonderful texture.
The background is embossed using the Scallops Textured Impressions Embossing Folder in the Big Shot Die Cut Machine. It gives beautiful results!
The "fence" is made with the Natural Composition Specialty Paper – it is thicker then our Designer Series Paper, more like card stock, so it does a great job helping the card stand up. The pretty ribbon is the new Natural 5/8" Chevron Ribbon from the Occasions Catalog.
