Happy Valentine's Day! I wanted to share this "sweet" project with you! This would be a fun one to do for a garden club, Mother's Day, or a spring retreat! We made this version in my Valentine Candy and Flowers Treat Holder class.
I just love these flowers – so fun to make! I made a video to show you how I made this project:
Here are some close up shots of how I got the sucker in – no glue needed! But make sure you but all the stick through the hole – right up to the base of the sucker (so include the wrapper that goes around the stick).
I used the retired Crop-a-dile to punch the hole – I used the 3/16" side.
The ribbon "leaves" help hold the sucker and flower together.
You need to have something inside your box to keep the suckers sticks from flopping around (like glass rocks in a vase to help hold the stems up). I used paper shreddie and Lifesaver candies.
Here is a picture of the holes that I punched in the lid of the box. I used the Crop-a-dile 3/16" punch again. I folded the flap down to get the back hole in place, the sides are easy to get to!
