A fun fall project to "whip" out today! Scroll down for a short video tutorial of this fun two tone technique!
For this card I used Crushed Curry ink on the whole image, then, before stamping, I used a sponge dauber to apply some Cajun Craze ink directly to the rubber stamp just in the center where the letters are.
I added some gold sequins from our Gold Sequin Trim for some added sparkle – they are the perfect fit on a glue dot!
For the inside of the card I used the For All Things stamp set from the Holiday Catalog. I love those shadow stamps – so fun to stamp on!
For the finishing touch I used the Hello Honey 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon – which looks great with Crushed Curry!
I learned this fun technique at the Stampin' Up! Convention in July where we made this fun make and take project!
For this project we used Hello Honey and Pumpkin Pie ink colors.
I made another card with the technique – also with the Seasonally Scattered set. I inked the "Merry" stamp up in Smoky Slate and the sponge on Night of Navy. I tried it with some other blue ink combinations but there was not enough contrast between the two to show off the technique.
I embellished this one with the new Frosted Sequins and some Basic Rhinestones.
Here is the video tutorial!
I will leave you with a picture of our resident Whippet for which "Whip-It Wednesday" comes from. This is our sweet Bella at a recent dog show!
