Yay! It's blog hop time again! Prepare for a flood of creative ideas!
This sweet basket makes the perfect spring gift. Mother's Day, May Day, or birthday – it's sure to be appreciated. The Berry Basket Die for the Big Shot and the Painted Blooms paper make the perfect combination for a pretty gift!
To make the tag, I used the gorgeous Painted Petals stamp set.
TIP: I inked the flowers up in Blackberry Bliss ink and then STAMPED OFF on a scrap paper before stamping on the card stock.
I purchased this set in see-through photopolymer so that I could perfectly line up the flowers and leaf images without using a stamp positioner. The basket is lined with the Tea Lace Doilies for that delicate, finishing touch!
Scroll down for a video on how to assemble the basket. Full supplies are listed at the bottom of this post. But what to put in this cute basket?! Inside my basket I put some fancy, scented soap and a soft washcloth. Other thoughts – tea, treats, or some lotions or bath salts.
Making this basket brought back fond childhood memories of May baskets on the 1st of May. We would pick a few blooms of violets, stick the stems in a wet cotton ball and then wrap it with foil. We would make a cone type basket with wallpaper samples and put in the flowers, popcorn, and candy. Then the fun part! We would put them on our friends doorknobs, ring the bell, and run away!
Although this video is an Easter themed basket, it will show you the same method I used for assembling the May basket!
