Creative Inking Blob Hop: Easter!!

Welcome to the Creative Inking Blog Hop! This month we are celebrating Easter, and since our hop logo is a bunny, we are calling this one a "bunny hop". My project today does not have any bunnies, chicks, or lambs but it is full of Easter Blessings!

I love the soft colors of this card and they make me think of Easter and spring! The card base is Smoky Slate and the accent color is Wisteria Wonder – a soft and sweet combo of colors! Scroll down to see how I did the shimmer on the flowers and the shimmery bit on the bottom of the card…

First I stamped the flowers in Basic Gray ink on Shimmery White card stock. Then I used my AquaPainter (a watercolor brush that has a barrel that can be filled with water) with Wisteria Wonder and Mint Macaron ink pads to watercolor the flower image from the Helping Me Grow stamp set.

Three things I love about this stamp set: 1)The adorable corner stamps – they look like you took the time to meticulously hand draw them in! And since they are a clear photopolymer stamp they are easy to place in just the right spot. 2) The frame matches the Rose Garden Thinlit Dies frame and 3) the flowers are gorgeous!

I added the shimmer to the flowers with the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush. A must have crafting supply if you like sparkly things like I do!! No mess, no drying time – just instant sparkle!

The other bit of sparkle was the brand new Metallics Glitter Tape! Love!!

I used the white glitter tape – which is a bit see-through so the color of the card stock below shows through. You can also color the white glitter tape by sponging on ink!

The Easter Blessings are on the inside of the card – this image is from the Suite Sayings stamp set, a wonderful mix of greetings for all occasions.
