I'm excited to walk you through how to make this Diagonal Easel card! Additional photos of this fold using the Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper at the bottom of this post!
The card is flat for mailing and then the recipient can prop up the front easel on the inside element (in this case the Thinking of You words) and display the card in their home.
This picture, taken from the back of the card, shows the diagonal score that creates the easel mechanism.
This diagram shows you how to score. Start with a 4" x 8" piece of card stock. Then score it in the center at 4". Next place the outside upper corner in the Paper Trimmer and line up the inside bottom corner (at the center score line) in the track, score with the scoring blade.
For the front I attached my 4" x 4" piece of patterned paper to a 4 1/8" x 4 1/8" piece of Whisper White. This allowed me some maneuvering room in case the angle on easel was not lining up perfectly with the top portion. I used Tear & Tape to attach the diagonal piece to the front piece.
This card has two Sale-a-bration items on it – you get one free Sale-a-bration item with every $50 (before tax and shipping). I used Inside the Line Designer Series Paper and the 3/8" Metallic Ribbon. The Metallic Ribbon comes with two roles, one silver and one gold – I used the gold here. I knotted my ribbon on one of the Mini Paper Clips clipped it on my project!
The Gold Wink of Stella glitter brush adds sparkle to a few of the flowers on the small 1" square of Inside The Lines Designer Paper.
The inside greeting was punched out with the Classic Label Punch and mounted with one dimensional cut in half – this raises it up so that it props the front of the card up – sort of like a kick stand.
The same fold but I used the Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper (love the colors in this paper).
The front of the card!
One more – also with the Succulent Garden Paper paired with Soft Sky card stock.
For the inside I used the Succulent Framelit Dies….
The Clear Wink of Stella and the White Perfect Accents for the center. Supplies are listed below, click on any of the pictures to see larger photos of the supplies used!
