Swaps, swaps, swaps! One of the things I LOVE about being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is being able to buy new products early AND to get to participate in card swaps with other demonstrators! This "non-traditional" Christmas card I created for a swap with fellow achievers of the Stampin' Up! Greek Isles Incentive Trip. I have a video and details on this card below!
As soon as I saw the new Pine Tree Punch from the upcoming Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog (available to order from on September 4th, 2019) I knew I wanted to try a pink tree card – Petal Pink to the rescue! The greeting and matching die are from another a new bundle: Toile Christmas Stamp Set and the Christmas Cardinal Dies. All the other items from this card are in the Stampin' Up! 2019 – 2020 Annual Catalog.
I love, love, love punches and I used 3 on this card. The tree is punched out of the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper. Of course I used the Twinkle Punch with Sparkle Glimmer Paper for the star on the tree and we already talked about the new Pine Tree Punch. Can you guess which punch I used for the tree skirt / tree stand?
If you guessed the Cake Builder punch then yes!! You are correct! I just snipped off the upper part of the cake plate and it fit the trunk perfectly!
I used another sentiment from the new Toile Christmas Stamp Set for the inside of the card – these banners are so elegant!
And speaking of elegant – the deep embossing from the Heirloom Frames Dies and 3D Embossing Folders is stunning!! See the video for tips with working with these dies and folders.
This is the Facebook Live video on how to create this card, it is one of my weekly free Tuesday Tutorials – hope you can join me next week on my Facebook Page for another fun project tutorial!
