Creative Inking Blog Hop: Favorite Mini Catalog Bundle

Blog Hop Title

This month in our hop are sharing our favorite mini catalog bundles with you! I love the Floating & Fluttering bundle and am excited to show it to you! I’m sharing the Double Point Fun Fold design too and a video walking you through the process of this easy fold. The video is also FULL of other sample cards I made with this versatile bundle.
Butterfly Bouquet Mango Double Point Swap Card - 1

Butterflies are perfect for so many occasions. They symbolize joy & happiness; change & growth; nature; Easter and the resurrection; and bring comfort to those who are grieving. One of my favorite things about this set is the “fill in” stamps that “color” the butterflies. There is a solid stamp and a detail stamp for each of the butterflies. For this card I stamped the solid portion in Mango Melody and the detail in Pumpkin Pie.

The Flower & Field Designer Series Paper (free for only one more week during Sale-a-bration) was folded into “points” to form flaps for this card. The medium butterfly at the bottom is a “latch” that holds the card closed when the center panel is tucked under the butterfly.

In this open version of the card you can see what the points look like from the inside. Watch the video for the step by step tutorial!

This version also features the Flower & Field Designer Series Paper – so pretty! For these butterflies I stamped the solid “fill in” stamp in Coastal Cabana and the details stamp in Bermuda Bay.

Again, the medium butterfly at the bottom holds the card closed.

Here is a close up of what the bundle looks like. The butterfly and branches are a grouping on one stamp. The dies set comes with dies that cut out each of the individual butterflies and branches and a die that cuts out the entire grouping. In fact, the die set has two dies that are exactly the same, they both cut out the butterfly grouping. This is so that you can quickly do a fun technique called…

… the Floating Frame! With the Floating Frame technique, you need a lot of the butterflies (I used 4 of the large “grouped” image to make these two cards). Because you have two of the dies, it makes quick work of the cutting! I will be sharing this technique next week in my Suestampfield Facebook group – hope you can join me!

Here is the video showing how to do this fun fold card! Measurements and supplies are at the bottom of this post.
