You’re A Peach 3-Panel Scenery Z Fold: Stamp Your One Million Out Blog Hop

Blog Hop Title Graphic

Today we celebrate my team member Rachel Tessman (Stampyourartout.com) and her fantastic achievement: reaching her Stampin’ Up! million dollar sales milestone! Rachel’s team members organized a blog hop and an Instahop and they invited me to participate with them! I’m excited to share a creation with the You’re A Peach suite.

I remember that sunny but cold day in February 2000 when Rachel curled up in the chaise lounge in my stamping classroom and filled out her starter kit! It has been an absolute joy to watch her grow as a demonstrator and reach so many outstanding achievements. Not only is she incredibly creative and talented, Rachel is an excellent teacher. She truly loves each and everyone of her customers and team members – she is a joy to be around! I’m blessed to call her my friend. So today we are honoring her achievement by adapting one of the many paper crafting projects that she has taught over the years. There was a LOT to choose from, but in the end, I went with one of my favorite creation of Rachel’s: the 3-Panel Scenery Z Fold card! Click HERE to see Rachel’s original versions.

I used the scrumptious new You’re A Peach Suite of products for my version. This is what the card looks like closed…

…and opened up flat! You can see the 3-panels of designer paper, hence the name! One of the fun features of this card layout, is that the patterned paper is laid out so that the patterns match, building the scene.

From the top you can see the “Z Fold” part of the card. The directions for my version are below, all of which is based on Rachel’s wonderful original video tutorial.

I started with a piece of the You’re A Peach Designer Series Paper that was 5 1/4″ tall by 6″ wide. Then I cut it in this order from left to right: 2-3/4″, 1-1/8″, 2-1/8″.

For the card base I used Calypso Coral, 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, scored at 1-1/2″ and 4-1/4″. You fold the card in half and then fold the 1-1/2″ section back in an accordion fold. Now some of the inside of the card is exposed.

Next I put some adhesive on the narrow accordion panel on the front of the card. Don’t go all the way to the top or bottom, there will be a border of the Calypso that still shows after the paper is adhered.

Adhere the left side of the 2-3/4″ Designer Paper Panel so that there is an even border on the left, top, and bottom. The rest of the Designer Paper will hang over the inside portion of the card that was previously visible (this is a good thing!).

Now I open the card and adhere the 2-1/8″ piece of Designer Paper so that is butted up to the right side of the center score line.

Now flatten the card and adhere the narrow panel between the other two panels – make sure the everything is right side up and that you have “built the scene” back together!

This Pale Papaya piece I cut at 1-7/8″ x 5-1/4″. In Rachel’s video, she cut the piece at 1-15/16″ because she loves math – my brain just could not go there – lol! Now the fun part! Decorating with the darling Sweet As A Peach stamp set and matching dies! The peaches are inked up in Pale Papaya and then Calypso Coral ink is daubed directly on to the stamp over the top of the Pale Papaya – so cute!!

I added some bling to the front of the card with the Champagne Rhinestones – they are a perfect match with the Pale Papaya! The scalloped frame is from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies (this portion of the card was inspired by a swap card I received from demonstrator Cathy Seal).
