Creative Inking Blog Hop: Celebrating Sale-a-bration

Welcome to this month’s hop, which is all about Sale-a-bration!! This week I celebrated my 24th anniversary as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator! So, of course, I had to make an anniversary card…

And since I love sparkle and fun folds, I went with this gorgeous fancy fun fold card using the Be Dazzling Specialty Paper (which is FREE with a $50 order during Sale-a-bration). This amazing, sparkly paper reminds me of glamorous dresses, movie awards, and the holidays! It’s sure to make any card sparkle and shine. Where did the wedding bells come from?! From a Christmas die set of course! The Gingerbread dies not only cover your Christmas Holiday needs but they have weddings and anniversaries covered as well. A big thanks to Nancy and Kayla over at Stamping BAE for the inspiration with the bells and the Be Dazzling paper for the front of this card.

This card is even MORE fun on the inside! As you start to open the card, pop ups begin to happen! I made two versions of this card. This one is the anniversary version made with the Always In My Heart stamp set (how perfect for a golden anniversary) and farther down in this post I have a wedding version.

When the card is fully open the center two squares pop out! This fun fold or fancy fold is called a four square pop up card and it is really fun and easy to make. The 2″ x 2″ squares of Be Dazzling Specialty Paper just make it stunning. If you haven’t added this paper to your stash yet, do it! But hurry – this is one of the Sale-a-bration items that is in limited supply. Once we sell out, there won’t be time to get any more before Sale-a-bration is over!

In this “bird’s eye view” you can really see how the panels pop out. There is a very simple trick to make the panels pop and not stay flat. It’s all about where you adhere them. In the video below I walk you through the process.

In this video tutorial I walk you through how to make this fun and fancy fold card!

For the wedding version of the card I used the Forever Blossoms stamp set – as a result, I have perfect wedding sentiments! I stamped the words in Crumb Cake ink which looks great with the gold. The lovely embossing folder for the inside panels is called Pretty Flowers – it is beautiful!

These are the lovely Gingerbread dies. You can see the detailed decorative long die at the top that I used for the bottom portion on the front of the card, and of course, the detailed bell and solid bell.
