Welcome to our first Creative Inking Blog Hop! This month's theme is "Color Your World". I'm excited to belong to this talented group of Stampers!
For this technique I used the Irresistibly Yours Specialty Designer Paper, Melon Mambo Blendabilities alcohol markers, and the Butterflies Thinlits Dies. Scroll down for a short "how to" video on this card.
I loved this technique so much, I just could not stop! I used ink pads and sponge daubers on some cards instead of the Blendabilities – either work great!
How to video!
See the fun polka dots? The Irresistibly Yours paper is white with a "pre-embossed" pattern on it. There are 6 different patterns on the 12" x 12" sheets of paper – you get two of each pattern.
The design "resists" the ink – so you just sponge it or color it, and out pops the design!
Two ways to get this fun paper!

Rainbow! I applied Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, and Daffodil Delight ink to the Irresistibly Yours paper with sponge daubers. For the rainbow greeting I inked up one end of the stamp in the Daffodil Delight pad, then used the sponge daubers to apply Calypso Coral ink and Bermuda Bay ink. This card was inspired by a lovely creation by demonstrator Ceal Pritchit.
Pool Party, Coastal Cabana, and Bermuda Bay ink pads. You could achieve this same look with the light, medium, and dark markers in the Bermuda Bay Blendabilities package.
Daffodil Delight and Tangelo Twist Ink Pads.
Blushing Bride, Crisp Cantaloupe, and Calypso Coral ink pads. (Calypso Coral Blendabilities would be another option). Ready to see more ways to Color Your World? Then hop along to the wonderful Linda Bauwin's Blog by clicking the button below!
