I love this Designer Series Paper called Venetian Romance! I have to admit that I have been hoarding it since June when the new catalog came out – I finally broke down and used it! After all, pretty paper should be seen, shared, and not stored, right?!!
This card was one of the make and take projects we made at my Stampfield Stars demonstrator team meeting last week. Our meeting theme was "Thankful" so all the make and takes were thank you cards. We used the Circle Card Thinlits Die for the Big Shot to make it a "flip" card. The Thinlits come with all these bonus items too!
We added a flip out "extension" on our card. To do that, I cut a piece of card stock 8 1/2" x 5 3/8". I then stuck the piece in one end of the die so that it extended over the top of the die, like this:
By doing this the one end of the card will not be cut because it is on top of the framelit. It will make a crease as it goes through the Big Shot, which will, in effect, score your paper for you!
Lots of room to write in the card now!
The card base is Pistachio Pudding card stock which was one of the new "in colors" this year. The lovely edge is the 3/8" Ruffle Stretch Trim in Pistachio to match the card stock!
