St. Patrick's Day is just around the corner!! Are you going to get pinched?! This lovely pin will keep you safe – and the best part is you get to make it yourself with the Spiral Rose die and the Big Shot Machine!
This was just one of the fun projects that I designed for my St. Patrick's Day treat class yesterday and today. You can see that the rose is attached to a treat holder – inside is a yummy (and I do mean yummy!) Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate Mint treat! My friend and fellow demonstrator, Kay Kahltoff has a great video on how to make this treat holder, you can watch it here.
Instead of making paper flowers, I chose to make the pin out of wool felt that I got at my local fabric store. TIP: When you are cutting fabric or felt with the Big Shot, place a piece of plain, lightweight printer paper between the top plate and the fabric. This will ensure a nice, clean cut.
I used hot glue to hold the flower together, to add the "leaves", and to attach the pin back.
The "Irish Lace" at the top, and the greeting, give this gift the perfect St. Patrick's Day touch! Supplies listed below, click here to go shopping for you crafting supplies!
