Another bright, happy, spring card today!! This one I'm playing with the Ombre look again. Ombre is very big right now – in clothes, fabric, nail art, and hair color! What is Ombre? It is a french word that means shaded – typically varying shades of the same color from light to dark. We are making this card in my Big Shot Classes this week – I hope you can join us!
Some of the Stampin' Up! colors fit perfectly for the ombre technique!! For my butterflies I've used Soft Sky, Pool Party, Coastal Cabana, and Bermuda Bay.
To cut out the butterflies I used an embosslit for the Big Shot Die-Cut Machine called Beautiful Wings Embosslit. Not only does it cut out all of the butterfly shapes, but it also embosses a different design on each – as you can see in this close up.
I'm really happy with how this card turned out – I love the clean, crisp look of white on white with just a dash of color! I used the new Arrows embossing folder for the background. the Coastal Cabana Ruffle Stretch Trim added just the right touch at the bottom of the card! Thanks for stopping by today!
