Today I want to share some quick and simple projects that I did with the new Project LIfe by Stampin' Up! line of products! These are available for customers to purchase tomorrow, May 1st, 2014 – click here for a list of the items available to purchase! I scrapped this page about a special day my son Joe and I spent at Legoland California when I earned the Stampin' Up! Getaway to San Diego last year.
I was so excited to share these pages with Joe when he got home from school that day – and he got a huge smile on his face looking them over!
Project Life is a simple method of scrap booking using pocket pages and pre-printed cards of various sizes. You slip the printed cards into the pockets, add photos to other pockets, and journaling – done! Check out these super simple cards that I made using the Everyday Adventure Project Life Card Collection and Accesory Pack!
Super easy! The mosaic was a pre-printed 4" x 4" card and the Pursuit of Happiness was a 4" x 3" printed card – both are from the Everyday Adventure Project Life Card Collection. I mounted them on a piece of Basic Black card stock and added a 1/8" Basic Black Grosgrain Ribbon – done!
The Life Is An Adventure card came form the Everyday Adventure Project Life Accessory Pack – it has four specialty laser cut cards – behind the first card is a 2nd that is black with white script that lists the days of the week from the Card Collection. I popped up the top card on dimensionals and layered both on to our note cards with envelopes. It literally took me less then a minute.
This one I cut down a 4" x 6" card to use for a layer on to the Bermuda Bay card base. The card had the white bar already on it – just waiting for my stamped image. The Happy is a 4" x 3" card from the Card Collection. The wooden arrow is from the Accessory Pack. The birthday stamp image is from the stamp set You're Amazing and actually says Happy Birthday. I used a simple masking technique to get just the single word, see the short tutorial below.
Here are the supplies you need (and whatever you are stamping on)
Cover up the word "Happy" (which we don't want to stamp) with a post it note.
Ink up the stamp with the post it note still covering the part you don't want to stamp.
Now remove the post it note and you are ready to stamp!
Ta-da!
I call it Whip-it Wednesday because this is the day I share a quick and easy project that you can whip out fast. And because of the type of dog I have, Bella the Whippet. Here is Bella – hmmm, what is that she is sleeping on? Could it be the brand new Stampin' Up! catalog that starts on June 1st?! The Project Life by Stampin' Up! items that I have shown you above are just a portion of what will be in the new catalog! You can order the items I used above on May 1st. Just click here to go to my store. For a list of all of the Project Life by Stampin' Up! items that are available for you to purchase on May 1st, click here.
