Scrapbooking: Project Life By Stampin’ Up! Catalog Premiere Pages and Tips on Using Photopolymer Stamps

Project Life by Stampin' Up! Catalog Premiere Pages08-imp

This last Monday, I attended the Stampin' Up! Catalog Premiere event at a movie theater in Eagan, Minnesota.  It was so much fun – and we got to leave the event with our brand new catalog AND a free stamp set!!  So what is the first thing I wanted to do (besides looking at the catalog, of course!)??? Scrapbook this fun event!

This is me with the new catalog – I can't show you the inside yet, this catalog starts on June 2nd!  If you are one of my customers, you can pick up your copy at one of my events later this month or, if you live far away from me, I have one coming to you in th mail!  The customer preorder fot the Project Life by Stampin' Up! can be ordered now though – scroll down for the list of available products for preorder.

So I wanted to scrapbook the event – but I was faced with a sick child, a muddy dog, and a hubby working 3 back to back 12 hours shifts.  What to do?!  I grabbed my Project Life by Stampin' Up! supplies and got it done – fast!!

This photo I cut in half and slid it into two of the pockets – I love this technique but make sure you aren't cutting in half someone's face or an important element of the photo!

I used the new Day to Day photopolymer stamp set to add in the date.  Check out this video I made with some tips and tricks on using Photopolymer stamps.

One of the best parts about the Premiere was getting to spend time with some of my Stampfield Stars passionate paper crafters. I had 33 of my gals attend, a little more then a hird of my group!  Because these gals joined the Stampin' Up! family with me I have the privilege of being there cheerleader, coach, mentor, and support person!

This is the fun little "swag bag" gift I gave to all 33 of my gals who attended!  Inside were some Stampin" Up! products and a 4" x 6" "ticket" to use on their scrapbook page – and the tag on the front was 4" x 3" so they could also use it with their Project Life page.  I used the On Film framelits for the film strip, the Just Sayin' stamp set, the Word Bubble framelits, and the Tag A Bag Gift Bags. The face is from the Sweetie Pie Photomolymer set which, sadly, has sold out and is not currently available. I used my Basic Black Stampin' Write marker to draw "glasses" on the face so it looked like me!

Here is the wide view of the first page.  The event was broadcast live from California and simulcast to 40 theaters across North America – to 7100 Stampin' Up! demonstrators.

And the completed 2nd page of the spread.  I'm finding that I have a difficult time getting a good photo of these pocket pages – I seem to get a reflection every time.  I will work on improving that!

This is what my team of Stampfield Stars and I felt like at the Premiere!!  Have you ever thought about joining the Stampin' Up! family?  I would love to help you get started!  You can read more about it here.  Thanks for stopping by today!!
