Happy Whip-it Wednesday!! Today our speedy project to "whip" out is with the July Paper Pumpkin Wish Big kit! To sign up for the August Paper Pumpkin kit (hint: think rainbow colors and glittery, sparkly fun), click here. But make sure to join by August 10th to get the August kit!!
Wow – this kit was really loaded! 10 stamps, cute baby Blackberry Bliss mini pad, instructions, a whole roll of white satin ribbon, bakers twine, 6 cards, 6 envelopes, 6 cute little boxes, 12 tags, 3 sticker sheets, and a whole sheet full of shiny star embellishments!
I chose to NOT follow directions (big surprise, right?!) on this card – and made my own thing! I cut the straight embellishment sticker into thirds to make birthday candles. The "wick" I drew in with the new Project Life Journaling Pens. LOVE these awesome pens!! Check them out here!
At the Stampin' Up! Convention Sara showed us how to make this cute little card box! You just cut off the top flaps of the box. Then cut the card bases in half so they fit – this way you can make 12 smaller gift enclosure cards.
Here are the 4 designs that I came up with for my "halfsies" cards. Scroll down to see the individual photos.
So fun and easy – I could have kept going but I ran out of time!
If you follow the instructions that come with the kit (WHAT?!) – this is how the card looks. Cute!
And if you follow the instructions this is the box that you can make 6 of!
Back to the candle card! Scroll down to see the inside!
I somehow got a ink smudge inside my card so I covered it up by making a "arrow" out of the leftover sticker outside edges.
Thanks for stopping by today! Click here to sign up for the August Paper Pumpkin. As a subscriber you can purchase refills of selected past kits – and right now, Wish Big July 2014 kit is one of the options (while supplies lasts).
I will leave you with our Whip-it Wednesday Whippet photo. This is my son Joe exercising our Whippet Bella with her favorite game!!
