Welcome! This month our theme is "Terrific Techniques"! Whether you are a long time stamper or newer to paper crafting, a fresh technique makes for great creative inspiration!
Today's technique is called "Metal Embossing/Tin Ceiling". It is super simple but with stunning results!
You simply run a piece of Stampin' Up!'s foil paper (available in silver, gold, or red) through the Big Shot with an embossing folder. Easy but beautiful!
The results really do look like the beautiful vintage tin ceilings of the past!
My favorite embossing folders for this technique are ones that have a tight pattern and not a lot of empty space. The three here are Modern Mosaic (silver), Lovely Lace (gold), and Happy Hearts (red). The Elegant Dots folder would also work well!
Can you see the raised pattern on the foil paper?
The gold foil is SO elegant when embossed with the Lovely Lace folder – not much else needed on the card!
Behind the red foil is Black Glimmer paper from the Holiday Catalog. Sadly this beautiful sparkly paper is being retired. Contact your demonstrator today to pick up a package before it sells out!
Each month my team of Stampfield Stars passionate paper crafters make a technique page with a full card, a mini card, and an instructions card.
It is stored in a Project Life Album, mine is getting quite full!
Now it is time to enjoy another amazing technique, so hop along to the next blog on the hop – B.J. Peters!
