I love this beautiful Petals & Paisleys Specialty Designer Series Paper from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog! It's a toss up which of the patterns is my favorite – I love this one, the Razzleberry, and the Navy with the embossed copper pattern! Full dimensions for this card are below.
This card is a recessed panel card. I started with a Very Vanilla card base that was 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded. I adhered a 1" x 5 1/2" of the patterned paper about 1" down from the top of my card (I used my grid paper for placement). The Night of Navy pieces are 5 1/2" x 1" and 5 1/2" x 2 1/4" and I cut two strips of Delightful Dijon at 3/4" x 5 1/2". Attach the Dijon to the Navy so about 1/8 – 1/4" of the card stock shows. Then attach the Navy pieces to the card with Dimensionals.
The greeting is from the Paisleys and Posies stamp set which coordinates with the paper. The Dijon ribbon from the 3/8" Ribbon Trio Pack ties all the colors together and is attached with a glue dot.
A simple card but the end result is striking! Special thanks to team member Sue Dyas – she made a similar card that inspired this version!
