Clean and simple today! The unique window in this card is cut from the Eclectic Layers Thinlits Dies – as are the flowers and leaves. I'm using one of my favorite new color combos – Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist.
The flower is actually made up of two pieces, a stamped image that has been cut out with the coordinating framelit die and the die cut detailed flower on top of it.
The first layer of the flower looks more like a blob then a flower! But it gives you a wonderful stippled color to go under your die cut flower – the stamp is textured so you get the cool stippling effect without any extra work on your part.
After stamping I cut out the shapes with the coordinating framelit dies. The solid leaf stamp is also textured and gives a stippled appearance when stamped – cool!
Now for the detailed dies. First, I put the Multipurpose Adhesive sheets on the back of my card stock. To do this, cut it slightly smaller then your card stock and peel off the sheet that says "Sizzix". Lay the sticky side down on your card stock. Turn your card stock over so the colored side is up and lay your detailed dies on top. Send them through the Big Shot. Then remove the cut out from the die, and peel off the plain white backing sheet from the die cut image. Now you have a sticky flower layer to adhere to your card and a sticky little leaf sprig.
I used the criss cross leaf in the set to decorate the inside – the greeting is from the Bunch of Blossoms stamp set. I stamped the inside images on a separate white panel (1 3/4" x 5 1/4") then mounted it far to the left so that it would not show through the window.
Another way to use this intricate window die would be to put a patterned paper behind it to show through to the front of the card.
