I love making cards with this beautiful Painted Harvest stamp set – the texturing on the stamp makes such gorgeous creations! I used ink colors from the Stampin' Up! Subtles Collection for the flower and leaves, and one Neutral for the greetings and flower center.
To get a fuller flower I stamp the flower image multiple times, rotating the stamp a quarter turn each time I stamp it. I stamped the outside petal portion 3 times, rotating the stamp each time, in Pool Party ink. Then I stamped the inner petals 3 times, rotating each time, in Marina Mist ink.
The leaves were stamped in Wild Wasabi and the greeting and flower center were stamped in Sahara Sand.
Of course I had to do the flower on the inside too! The greetings on the front and inside both come from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set.
The background was made by lightly applying ink to the Layer Leaves Dynamic embossing folder. To do this, open the folder, and on the inside portion of the side that says "Stampin' Up!", lightly drag the Sahara Sand ink pad over the folder. Use a very light touch – you won't see much ink so it is easy to add too much! Then add your card stock (Sahara Sand used here) and send it through the Big Shot. Remember – with the thick Dynamic folders you only use one cutting pad, not two.
To finish off the card I added a bit of the Burlap ribbon to add to the "vintage" look! To attach this thick, hefty ribbon I used three glue dots. One in the center and one on each tail. This way I could position the tails to frame the stamped portion of the card and was comfortable my bow would stay in place. Happy crafting!
