Spooky Cat Halloween Treat Bag

Hallloween Spooky Cat Gusseted Lined Treat Bag - 9

Hello!  I have another cute lined gusseted bag to show you today! While yesterday's treat bag was an autumn theme, this version is cute and spooky for Halloween! These Stampin' Up! 3" x 6" gusseted cellophane bags make a great quick and easy treat holder. And when you add a simple liner of card stock or designer paper, it turns the bag into more of a box by adding weight and shape to the cellophane bag. Directions are below or you can also see the directions on yesterday's project.

Yesterday's bag (on the right) was lined with card stock, today's project is lined with the Spooky Night Designer Series Paper!

When you line the bag with the two sided Designer Series Paper you have the advantage of getting to see both sides of the paper on the project.

The paper makes even the backside of the project cute!

I used this greeting from the Spooky Cat stamp set and stamped it in Cajun Craze ink on Very Vanilla card stock – then punched it out with the 1" Circle Punch. Then I tied a bow with the Vintage Crochet Lace and added it to the Gold Binder Clip with a mini glue dot.

I decorated the bag with other images from the Spooky Night paper.  The cat is printed on one of the other designs and I punched it out with the Cat Punch. The witch hat is also printed on another design in the pack – I cut it out with scissors and attached it to the kitty with a glue dot. The Jack-o-lantern is also preprinted on yet another design in the same pack of paper (I LOVE this Spooky Night paper!) – I cut it out with the Patterned Pumpkin Thinlits Dies.

I filled my food safe bags with Candy Corn – yum!!

Directions to line your bag:

Piece of card stock or designer paper 2 7/8" x 9"

Score at 1" x 3" x and 7 3/4"

Slide your hand into the gusseted bag, and push your hand down to flatten the bottom.

Then fold your card stock on the score lines and slide the card stock into the gusseted bag.

The remaining piece of card stock that sticks up over the top of the bag will become the closure.  Fold the flap down and attach the binder clip.  Special thanks to demonstrator Lisa Curcio for directions on how to make this project. You can see her version and video here.
