Let it snow! Okay, maybe not quite yet here in Minnesota – but while we await the snow, paper snowflakes are lovely! This is a super simple card but it is quite striking – maybe because of the neutral color scheme (black and vanilla)? Or maybe because of the lovely snowflake – more about that below! It is so fun to create beautiful things with bits of paper!
I love this stamp image from the Merry Little Labels stamp set, I stamped it in Archival Basic Black and punched it out with the matching Everyday Label Punch – if you purchase these two items as a bundle you same 10% – yay!! I used the same punch to cut out a black label, turned it, and layered it behind, like making a "+" symbol. Two little Basic Pearls finished it off.
The snowflake is from the Foil Snowflakes in the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog. In the package you get 12 gold and 12 silver snowflakes but if you flip the snowflakes over, the backside is a pretty Vanilla! I adhered the snowflake to the card using SNAIL adhesive in the center, then I covered that area with my "Let It Snow" piece popped up on a Dimensional.
For the inside of the card I used the Peace This Christmas stamp set. I think it goes perfectly with Merry Little Labels!
I think my favorite thing about this card is how the lace trim pairs up with the lacy snowflake!
