Creative Inking Blog Hop: Sketch Challenge

What a fun hop theme this month! We have a sketch challenge for you – I hope you give it a try with your paper crafting supplies!  Here is my version:

I love how the Melon Mambo cardstock POPS on the Basic Black!  Here is the sketch.

I cut the panels at 1" x 4" for my version. So fun and the heart image can be replaced with any image or shape.

I am in LOVE with this butterfly die and I'm so sad it is retiring!  You can see another sample with it here. It is only available while supplies last and as of the writing of this blog post it has not sold out yet…. You can see all the other images in this set of Move Me Thinlits dies here.

The detail portion of the butterfly I cut out of Basic Black cardstock, and underside or outline portion is cut from the Painted with Love Designer Series Paper.  The Painted with Love paper is also retiring – it is in the Occasions Catalog with the Valentine products but can be used for SO much more! I love the blends of purples and pinks and the shiny gold accents on other patterns in the package.


I stamped the background with the beautiful Marbled stamp with Melon Mambo ink on to Melon Mambo cardstock.  Such a beautiful background stamp!

Here is a quick peek at the inside of the card.  I added a strip of the Painted with Love Designer Paper to "jazz" up the inside and to carry through the colors from the card front.

The horizontal stripe is from the Pick A Pattern Washi Tape.  This fun package comes with 5 rolls of black and white washi tape in varying widths and patterns. Time to hop!
