I'm so excited to share this sweet little treat bag with you! So easy to make and so striking! Scroll down for directions!
Here is the side view of the bag – inside are some yummy Godiva chocolates! The 3" x 6" gusseted bag is lined with a piece of the heavy weight Share What You Love Designer Series Paper. Both sides of this gorgeous paper show off on this project!
The front image is made with the Love What You Do stamp set. One of the stamps in the set is a beautiful watercolor background stamp – I inked it in Crumb Cake and stamped it on to Whisper White card stock. I stamped the stems in Early Espresso. To "color" the flowers, I inked the small solid "fill in" stamp in Rich Razzleberry and stamped it on a scrap paper. Then I stamped it in the center of the flower. Then without reinking, I stamped it to the left of the center and then again to the right of center, so that it gets lighter and lighter.
I cut out the images with the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine and the Layering Circle Framelits Dies….
After cutting out the image I layered it on one of the pretty Pearlized Doilies. These doilies have such a pretty, shimmery, finish!
Directions to line your bag:
Piece of card stock or designer paper 2 7/8" x 9"
Score at 1" x 3" x and 7 3/4"
Slide your hand into the gusseted bag, and push your hand down to flatten the bottom.
Then fold your card stock on the score lines and slide the card stock into the gusseted bag.
The remaining piece of card stock that sticks up over the top of the bag will become the closure. Fold the flap down and use the mini paper clip from the Embellishment Kit to keep the bag closed. Special thanks to demonstrator Lisa Curcio for directions on how to make this project. You can see her version and video here.
There is a bit of a "flap" on the bottom of the bag….
…so I used a couple of glue dots to secure the bottom flap – it helps the bag sit flat.
To decorate the flap I used some of the alphabet stamps from the Make A Difference stamp set – the script font is so elegant – and much prettier then my own handwriting!
The pretty label that I stamped on is from the embellishment kit – I cut the long label in half. I added a single Artisan Pearl and some of the soft Velvet Ribbon to finish it off!
