Welcome to our Octoberfest Blog Hop! In Munich Octoberfest means beer, giant pretzels, and heart shaped ginger cookies – but here in Minnesota it means colorful fall leaves and beautiful scenery! To honor that, I have three cards to share with you today, all featuring the gorgeous Stampin' Up! Come To Gather Designer Series Paper.
The base for this card is a wonderful neutral color called "Gray Granite" and I used Champagne Foil and Merry Merlot as accents. Of course the wood grain paper and the patterned paper that I punched the leaves from are in the Come To Gather Designer Paper. I used the leaf punch from the Every Season Punch Pack to punch out the leaves and then mounted each with a Mini Dimensional. The punch pack also comes with a little bat, a heart, and a snowflake – covers every season! The greeting is from Woven Heirlooms – I just love the font of this set, and the set also has a beautiful sympathy message that you can see below.
The leaves on the side of the card are from the To Every Season stamp set which is available as a bundle with Every Season Punch Pack for a 10% savings. I made my own background stamp by putting all three leaves on one block, then inked them up with Gray Granite ink, and stamped them down the side.
I just wanted to share a photo from my dog walk this afternoon – we went urban today and took a lovely walk in on West River Parkway in Minneapolis along the Mississippi river – the fall leaves were beautiful today!!
This card was one that my customers have been making in my on going Stamp-A-Stack event! I will be sharing the other cards on my blog soon!
This next card also features the To Every Season Bundle and more Merry Merlot cardstock. Merry Merlot is such a beautiful color! It is one of my favorite "go to" colors for fall! I used the gorgeous 3D Hammered Metal embossing folder for the background. This embossing folder works best with the blue 3D Embossing Plate. The sentiment is framed with one of the Ornate Frame dies cut from Copper Foil. I used the Delicata Copper Ink Pad to stamp the leaves before punching them out.
For the inside of the card I also used the Delicata Copper ink pad to stamp the large leaf.
The last card uses some of the other pretty paper from the Come To Gather pack – two of the Pretty Peacock patterns paired with the Thank You die.
For the ribbon I custom colored my own using the Light Pretty Peacock Stampin' Blend and the Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon. So easy to do – just drag the tip along the ribbon – it soaks through and colors both sides at once! Why don't I do this more often?! A perfect match for every project!
Thank you so much for stopping by today! Now it is time to hop along and check out the other Octoberfest projects!
