Two fun project for you today! Both are made with the Mini Curvy Keepsake Box Die! The first is this little Thanksgiving Pilgrim Box filled with a Pumpkin Spice Caramel and a Dove White Chocolate Carmel Apple (kind of like having Pumpkin Pie and Apple Pie at thanksgiving!)….
And the 2nd is this cute little elf. When I designed the front of the Mini Curvy Keepsake Box to look like an elf I knew I just had to make a matching tag for the back with the adorable #Elfie stamp set!
I added the Snowfall Accents Puff Paint to the hat trim and pom. Just squeeze on a little of the liquid and heat it to watch it puff up! This product has been flying off the shelves and is temporarily not orderable until Stampin' Up! can replenish their supply. If you would like to be notified by Stampin' Up! when it is again available (they are estimating it will be back in stock at the end of October), just click here.
For the backside of the Thanksgiving Pilgrim box I kept it simple – the die image is also from the Mini Curvy Keepsake Box Dies and the sentiment is from the Harvest Hello stamp set. I added a bow with the Cajun Craze Twine from the Come To Gather Ribbon Combo Pack.
The belts on the two projects are exactly the same. I used a 1/4" x 2" strip of black cardstock for the belt and trimmed it to fit the box. The buckle is a 1/2" square of Gold Glimmer Paper and the center is a 1/4" square of black cardstock. I used punches to make the different collars. For the elf collar I used the pennant from the Hot Air Balloon Builder Punch and embellished it with the Metallic Pearls. For the Thanksgiving Pilgrim I used the 1" Circle and the 1 3/8" Scallop Circle punches, see below.
Thanksgiving Pilgrim Collar: First I punched a portion (about 1/3") of the 1" Circle Punch from a strip of 1" wide Whisper White cardstock.
See the little scooped out portion that the 1" Circle punch made? Then I went back in with the 1 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch and punched again. This gave me a "bib" shape. I cut it in half to form the collar.
The "tie" is made with the Basic Black 3/8" Scalloped Edge Ribbon – it was perfect! I used 3 glue dots to attach it, one in the center and one on each of the "tails".
I made 34 of these little elf boxes as a gift for the members of my team that were presenting and helping at our Demos Galore event on September 28th in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. It was so fun to see all the boxes piled together!
Christmas candy was a bit hard to find in September when I designed this project – but the Dove Dark Chocolate and Dove Dark Chocolate & Mint Swirl candies were the perfect red and green to match this project!
Here is the video showing how to make the Thanksgiving Pilgrim box – it is a Facebook Live video from my Facebook Business Page.

Something wrong with your second Facebook video, it doesn’t want to play? I’d just started watching you adhere your two squares and it quit! Just wanted to let you know! I’ll try to pick it up later. Thank you so much for sharing. I especially loved the tip about cutting my CS and how to place the die.
