Have you tried this fun fold yet?! It's super easy and you get three fun layers with a single card base – once you add in the secret ingredient, a strip of Window Sheet! I have a PDF tutorial below and a video walking you through the basics of this fun fold.
This is the first layer. The window sheet is almost invisible – the word merci is adhered to it. I love these gorgeous Parisian Dies – especially that stunning swirl flourish design! I lined up the flourish on the 2nd layer so that it was coming out of the script.
The second layer. The scroll flourish and the word Merci are die cut from the Champagne Foil sheets. I used the Parisian Blossom Specialty Designer Series Paper for the center and the side panels – some of the patterns in the paper have the Champagne Foil accents too, like this stunning floral – so gorgeous!!
The third layer is the perfect spot to write your handwritten note of thanks – or you can stamp a greeting if you prefer. I used the same pattern of the pretty paper inside to coordinate with the front.
The delicate die cuts in Champagne Foil were adhered by using the Stamping Sponges and the Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I just squeeze some glue onto a plastic lid, dab the sponge in the glue and then dab it on the back of the die cut image. Make sure to have a scrap paper underneath to keep your work area clean!
The Petal Pink 1/4" Metallic-Edge Ribbon was wrapped around the center portion, then tied in a knot. I added a single Basic Pearl for the dot on the letter "i" in Merci. I love adding a pearl or a rhinestone as the finishing touch to a card! This fun fold was inspired by a Christmas card that fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator Laura Seki shared on the Stampin' Up! exclusive Demonstrator only Facebook group.
Edited on 3/25/20: This is a mini version of the card shown above. Finished size when closed is 3" x 4". Here are the directions:
The mini card is 4" x 6", scored at 3". Then cut at 1" up to the score line and stop. Then cut up on the 3" mark and stop. That will form two end panels, 1" wide. The Designer Paper is 3/4" x 2 3/4" for each end panel, and for the inside. The Designer Paper on the center panel is 1 3/4" x 2 3/4". The Window Sheet piece on the mini card is 1" x 3".
The mini card when opened!
This is another version of this super fun fold using the FREE Sale-a-bration stamp set Happy Birthday To You and the Birthday Dies. Click on the photo above to visit the blog post with details on this card.
