Brightly Gleaming Creative Fold Sympathy Card

Fun Fold Card with Brightly Gleaming Designer Paper - 4

Do you love creative folds as much as I do?! This version is a sympathy card made with the Brightly Gleaming Designer Series Paper. Last chance to get this lovely paper before it retires! The best part? It's on sale for half price while supplies last!! I show another version at the end of the video below that was made with some brand new products that are coming on January 5th. I also have a link below for a free project sheet tutorial for this fun fold.

This is what the card looks like when fully opened – the copper highlights in the paper add a look of elegance. The stamped images are from the Prize Peony stamp set and are stamped in Pretty Peacock ink.

A closer look at the front of the card when it is closed. Did you notice the copper pearls? They are actually gold pearls that I colored with the Cinnamon Cider Dark Stampin' Blend to give the copper appearance.

I used the Stitched So Sweetly dies in two places on this card. First, using the largest scalloped rectangle die, I cut the center out of the backing piece so I could use it as my layer. And for the center label I used one of the other dies in the set. The ribbon is also on sale while supplies last – it is a pretty copper metallic.

This video actually took place on my Suestampfield Facebook group the Tuesday before Christmas. With the hectic holidays I got a bit behind on my blogging. So glad I can share it with you now!

  1. Your measurements on your free tutorial are not working for me. Can you look them over and resend. The Peacook cardstock for the base says 4 1/2 by 4 1/4. Im sure that is a typo. but the larger peace is alwo not working. In your video it says that the cardstock is 9 3/4 and scored equally. the score marks do not measure equally. I really want to make this card. Please help.

  2. Thank you so much for bringing this to my attention! I have corrected the PDF tutorial with the right measurements which are: 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ for the card base. The accordion piece is 4 1/4″ x 9 3/4″ scored at 3 1/4″ and 6 1/2″. So sorry for the typos! Happy creating!

  3. Good Evening Susan. Thank you for this video. Please be advised that the “For a free PDF tutorial with all of the dimensions and supplies to make this card, click here” is NOT working. Blessings – Mal, Melbourne, Australia
