Surprise! The inside of the card features two “pop-up” messages that appear to float – so fun! Welcome to the Suestampfield May Crafternoon featured fun fold! Each month I design a fun fold and then make many different designs using that fold. I have a video tutorial showing the basics of the freestanding floating panel cards, and an option to purchase a detailed tutorial bundle for ALL of the projects. This first version features the gorgeous Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper Hues of Happiness and the Happiness Abounds Bundle. The dies in the bundle cut out the flowers in the paper – which makes card making so easy!

Two more sweet messages! I love the label die that comes in the Nature’s Prints bundle which is part of this suite. And the font is so pretty! In the video below I share lots of other cards that I made with this fold.

Black and white cards are so elegant – prefect for so many occasions. For this version I used the versatile Charming Sentiments bundle, the Painted Posies 3D embossing folder, and the Perfectly Penciled Designer Series Paper.

Inside I used more of the Charming Sentiments and a different pattern of the Perfectly Penciled Designer Series Paper. I love how the sentiments appear to float!

Tweet! The Sweet Songbirds bundle make super cute birthday and celebration cards! The Merry Melody Embossing Folder was the perfect pairing for the musical notes in this set. I bet you can guess what I put on the inside of the card!

Another bird of course! This one is swooping in to celebrate someone’s special day. The details on how I made the bird appear to fly are in the tutorial bundle.

My paper crafting friends tell me that masculine cards are always the hardest for them to design. Fortunately the He’s The Man Suite solves that problem. The Designer Series paper in this suite comes with preprinted die cuts that create handsome cards quickly. This Cheers To All Your Years medallion is one of those preprinted die cuts and it was the perfect focal point for the front for my card.

Inside the card i used more of the preprinted die cuts (the banner and the grill). The “Holy Smokes” sentiment is stamped and die cut from the He’s All That bundle. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Celebrating You stamp set.

Now it’s time for fun twist on the Criss-Cross Floating Message Cards. I decided to switch things up and designed the same fold but in a vertical or portrait direction.

I asked my paper crafting friends in the Suestampfied Facebook group what products I should use to make a vertical version of this fold. The winning vote was for the He’s the Man Suite! Of course, this products in this suite are not just for the guys. My sister and her husband recently got a camper van and this card will be perfect for her birthday! (By the way, everyone is welcome in the Suestampfield Facebook group – come hang out with us here.) The Rustic Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots are the perfect finishing touch to the front of this card.

Isn’t this van from the preprinted die cuts in the He’s the Man Designer Series Paper adorable? The message is from the Go To Greetings stamp set and is layered on a rounded rectangle die from the He’s All That Bundle. For my sister’s card I will actually be cutting the surf board off the van (not a lot of surfing opportunities here in the midwest – lol), so that is always an option. There are two sheets of the die cuts in the He’s The Man Designer Paper, so I can make two cards exactly like this.

One more vertical version of the Criss-Cross Floating message card. Of course, I just HAD to make it with the beautiful Happiness Abounds Bundle and Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper. All of the details for this card are included in the tutorial bundle, along with all the other cards shown in this blog post.

The flowers from the Designer Series Paper also decorate the inside. I love the pretty font from the sentiments in the Happiness Abounds stamp set. I paired them with the Stylish Shapes Dies – perfect!
