This creative fold was from the Suestampfield Crafternoon Creative Escape in January. These unique fun fold cards have fun pop out images inside.
Are you looking for new and unique fun fold card ideas? From the front, this looks like a regular (although beautiful) card. When you open the card though…
Out pops a greeting! This style of card is called a Pop Out Slider card. Imagine the surprise and delight on the face of the lucky person that you send this card to when they open it!! I have five versions of this style of card to share with you today!
So how does it work?!
In this close up photo you can really see how the center pops out, and yet the slider piece on the left allows the card to go completely flat when closed. This card was part of the Suestampfield January Crafternoon Creative Escape. Each month I design a fun fold and then multiple designs using that fold. The featured fun fold for January was the Pop Out Slider card. I have a step by step video for you at the bottom of this post on how to assemble this style of fun fold card. I also have an option to purchase a detailed step-by-step tutorial bundle for ALL of the projects shown in this blog post.
This first design was the make-n-take project for my virtual monthly Crafternoon event. Customers who placed a $50 order (before tax and shipping) in December, received the packet to make this gorgeous Pop Out Slider card in January. Some people received the packet with the Fresh Freesia design, others received the Petal Pink / Calypso Coral version. Which version would you have liked to receive?
This card features the beautiful FREE Sale-a-bration Designer Series Paper called Favored Flowers. This paper is a free choice when you place a $50 (USD) order before tax and shipping in February. I used the Fragrant Flower dies to die cut the blooms from the designer paper. The label dies are from the Something Fancy dies and the greeting is from the Shaded Summer stamp set.
The card also features the Cane Weave 3D Embossing folder, one of my favorites! The Iridescent Rhinestones add the perfect amount of sparkle to the card.
Cute! This adorable Happy St. Patrick’s Day Card Has A Cute Leprechaun Inside – Ready to Pop Out!
Impress your family and friends when you create and share this adorable St. Patty’s Day Pop Out Slider card! Inside a darling owl leprechaun is waiting to pop out and greet you! The Adorable Owls stamp set is free this month while supplies last with a $50 order! The adorable stamps in the Lucky Clover stamp set makes this card perfect for St. Patrick’s Day!
Inside a darling owl leprechaun is waiting to pop out and greet you!
In the tutorial bundle, I have two different versions of the hat for the leprechaun owl. The version on the left is made with a die from the Playing in the Rain dies and the version on the right has a hat made with the Lucky Clover punch. The Lucky Clover punch unexpectedly sold out early and is now retired. So in case you did not have that punch, I made the second alternative – both are adorable! The tutorial bundle walks you through making either hat, step by step.
This Pop Out Slider works for horizontal cards, like the Favored Flowers card at the beginning of this blog post, or for a card design that is vertical. Such a versatile fun fold! What an adorable way to spread joy and happiness for the St. Patrick’s Day holiday.
Beautiful Birthday Card with the Sentimental Park Bundle!
This version of the Pop Out Slider is so happy and elegant! What a perfect way to celebrate someone’s special day! The unique dies in the Sentimental Park bundle are made to layer perfectly – I love that extra detail!
This Pop Out Slider card is a really “WOW” when opened up. I walk you through how to make the card in detailed step-by-step tutorial so that you can impress your family and friends! This beautiful card is made with products from the January – April Mini Catalog. Including the Regency Park Designer Series Paper and the Sentimental Park Bundle.
The perfect way to celebrate – with the Share A Milkshake bundle!
So cute! The Share A Milkshake bundle is amazing and makes the cutest cards. The die for the large ice cream scoop cuts a slit so that you can slide in the straw. In the step-by-step tutorials I have the full directions for this adorable Milkshake card! On the inside….
There is a yummy dish of chocolate ice cream with a tiny silver spoon! This time I stamped the ice cream, and again the die cut the slit. Instead of a straw I used the little spoon die from the Share A Milk Shake dies cut from silver! It was SO cute that I did not glue it down. So it can really slide in and out of the ice cream! The Share A Milkshake stamp set has the “celebrate” greeting that I used in this version. So this card can be used for any celebration like birthday, anniversary, graduation, etc.
Or you can use the “Be My Valentine” sentiment for Valentine cards. The Country Gingham Designer Series Paper adds the perfect “vintage malt shop” feel to the card! Of course, my “go to” embossing folder, the Cane Weave 3D Embossing folder, made it extra pretty!
Playing In The Rain Pop Out Slider Card
This adorable little bunny playing in the rain is sure to bring a smile to the face of the recipient! The Playing In The Rain dies cut out the bunnies from the Rain or Shine Designer Series Paper. I wanted to capture the puddle from the paper too. So I first die cut it with the large circle from the Stylish Shapes dies. Then I die cut the bunny with it’s matching die so that it could really stand out and splash! The full directions are in the tutorial bundle. The amazing Rain or Shine Designer Series Paper is embossed so that parts of it are shiny. Do you see the shiny raindrops in the photo?
For the inside this “happy” birthday card the rain is gone and it is all flowers and sunshine. And an adorable turtle die cut from the Rain or Shine Designer Series Paper. The whole section with the turtle pops out at you when you open the card!
In the first photo can see how the pop out section is almost like a “table top”? You can attach the image to this section so that it pops. In the step-by-step tutorial I walk you through the process so that you can duplicate all of these cards. The first tutorial focuses on how to make the card base with the mechanism. This allows you to easily make your own pop out slider designs. Or you can decorate it in any one of the five ways shown in the other detailed tutorials.
