This fun technique is like doing an easy puzzle – and makes three cards at a time!
So many things to love about the “Stack, Cut, and Shuffle” technique! You stack up three pieces of Designer Series Paper, cut them into thirds, and then shuffle or piece them together to form three unique “puzzle” cards! A perfect technique for creating your holiday cards. The video tutorial is below, and at the bottom of this post I show another set of Stack, Cut, and Shuffle cards that I made with the All About Autumn Designer Series Paper.
The Designer Series Paper I used for these cards is the stunning Shining Brightly Designer Series Paper from the Stampin’ Up! September – December Mini Catalog. It was perfect!! And the beautiful Stars At Night Bundle compliments this stunning paper to make absolutely gorgeous cards. Especially since that bundle has a die that makes a set of three stars, in three sizes, from one die – perfect for my three stack, cut, and shuffle cards. The Gold Foil Sheets which I used to cut the stars, matches the gold in the Designer paper perfectly.
The Shining Brightly Specialty Designer Series Paper has both Night of Navy and Vanilla versions of the same gorgeous patterns – so of course I wanted to try the Cut, Stack, and Shuffle technique with both patterns. If I was sending this card to you, would you prefer to receive the Vanilla or the Night of Navy version?
Use the whole pack of paper and you don’t have to choose a favorite!
When you cut the paper there is a leftover strip that is perfect to accent the inside of the card.
I love to have my viewers help me to design the card during our videos. For this card they suggested that I pop up the smaller die cut star in the center of the larger star. They were right – I love the look of it popped up! I added a gold sequin to the center from the Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins from the annual catalog. By using die cuts and a sequin, it keeps the profile of the card flatter for mailing, even with the Mini Dimensional.

More Stack, Cut, and Shuffle Cards!
In October I shared this same technique with the All About Autumn Designer Series Paper. Gorgeous! I paired it with the Layering Leaves stamp set and the Bough Builder Punch. To watch the video for this version, click HERE.
This technique was inspired by Stampin’ Up! demonstrator Sherry Roth at Stamping Treasures. You can see her version here.
Yesterday Stampin’ Up! demonstrators were having tons of fun at our virtual OnStage convention! We saw amazing demonstrations of brand new products coming in the Stampin’ Up! 2024 January – April Mini Catalog AND got to see the digital version of the catalog and the new Sale-a-bration brochure. We also made two make-n-takes with the Bee Mine Suite, you can see them both below! You are going to love the incredible new products that are coming!
WOW! I am so filled with gratitude for my wonderful team, customers, and followers. In November Stampin’ announced the rankings for the top performing demonstrators and I was shocked to place #29 in the United States! Thank you so much for your support – I appreciate each and every one of you! And thank you so much for making and sending handmade cards, you are making the world a kinder place, one card at a time! ❤️
I would love for you to create along with me at my monthly Crafternoon online class! Just place a $50 order in my online store before tax and shipping (US only) and you will get a packet in the mail the following month to make the Crafternoon featured fun fold design for that month!
Congratulations Susan, you are so talented and creative. I have my own demonstrator in my area. But I love watching your video’s and following you. You deserve this award, again congratulations!!
